The bathroom can be one of the most difficult rooms in the house to keep looking fresh. The steam and dampness don’t make it particularly easy for homeowners to maintain a well-looked-after bathroom and they can begin to age quite quickly. If you’ve had your bathroom for a few years, it might be time for a little bit of an overhaul.
You may want to re-grout your tiles, or you may decide that you want to completely redo the tiling. When you buy a new bathroom, make sure you keep some spare tiles so that you can carry out some smaller jobs with them in future. For example, you may want to just redo the tiling in your shower or around your bath to give it a new lease of life.
Things like shower heads and taps will also probably need replacing after a few years. This is well worth doing – you won’t realise quite how much different it will make until you do it. Perhaps also consider repainting the doors and windows to make everything look clean, fresh and as good as new.
